Adrianna and Chris’ downtown engagement shoot was such a breath of fresh air. These two had some super fun spots around DC that they wanted to hit up, and they really helped me to feel renewed and creative in my own city!

Adrianna & Chris’ Charming Capitol Hill DC Engagement Session

After a first date when Adrianna was visiting her friends in DC, Adrianna and Chris spent two years dating long-distance. In 2019, Adrianna left NYC to move to DC, and has since fallen in love with the city. Hearing about their favorite things to do around town and how they are avid users of Capital Bikes, helped us to create stunning and authentic engagement photos! I love when my couples are willing to trust me with slightly out-of-the-box photo ideas like they did. 

Engagement Photos in Downtown Washington DC

After hitting up the Capitol Building, the Library of Congress, and Supreme Court gardens for some iconic DC photos, Adrianna, Chris, and I headed over to the National Gallery of Art. These two are self-proclaimed “architecture nerds,” so photos in front of the glass pyramids were an absolute must. The National Gallery of Art is also home to some beautiful fountains, and intriguing florals, which I love using for outdoor photos without needing to fight the crowds. We had so much fun running around and they were complete naturals in front of the camera. 

These two are getting married this September, and I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of their big day! They both just emanate sunshine and I can’t wait to meet their friends and family.
