The Potomac View Terrace

Natalie and Mark’s downtown DC wedding is one for the memories! With a DC wedding venue like Potomac View Terrace, your guests get to enjoy the classic views of Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. I love that we also got to do some of their wedding portraits at the Constitution Gardens as well–it allows my creative side to run wild and get some fun shots of DC in the process.

Natalie and Mark’s wedding had a navy and jewel-toned color palette, pairing beautifully with the classic elegance of their ceremony and reception venue. They really wanted to show off the grandeur of DC with their family & friends, but with a modern twist. This DC wedding venue has it all.

Following the ceremony, which was held on the steps of the Potomac View Terrace, guests were led to a side terrace for cocktail hour, featuring a signature drink named after their loved dog. During sunset, guests joined them on the rooftop for an alfresco dinner and dancing, with a magnificent view overlooking Lincoln Memorial & Washington Monument.

Although their dog Millie wasn’t able to be present for the ceremony & reception, she was very much a part of their day by coming to their first look at Hotel Darcy, and being on their custom printed napkins.

The bride’s dress featured a sheath design, with a tulle overskirt–I love how we were able to have two completely different looks for her portraits, with and without the overlay skirt.

During the reception, the groom surprised guests by joining the band and playing the electric guitar–it’s safe to say, the party only just got even better!
