Destination Christmas in Paris

Christmas in a foreign country is something everyone should experience at least once in their life.

Why? Because it brings out more of the true meaning and experience of Christmas–which is more than gifts and parties. And when I needed a little reset to my holiday Christmas spirit, I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be going than Paris. Plus, having a friend who was studying abroad in Germany and could join me for this adventure? It was a no-brainer!

Standing inside the  Notre Dame Cathedral on Christmas Eve for their midnight mass was an ethereal experience. The scents of incense, the sounds of the pipe organ and choir voices–it was breathtaking and unforgettable.

Walking the streets, peeking in the windows in St. Germaine in the 6th arrondissement, or the flea market in Montmarte, and taking multiple breaks to sip on vin chaud and people watch will forever be a favorite memory!

Taking a day excursion into Normandy, directed by Paris City Vision, we were able to see Mont Saint Michel–and it was everything I dreamed it would be!

I don’t think it is possible to get tired of exploring Paris or France!

So much to see and do, I’ll be posting more on all my Paris travel tips, with the musts to see, where to eat, and the most convenient locations to stay in a later blog post here on www.kategracephotography.com. Do be sure to comment below to tell me what you most are interested in hearing about!
