Who knew this couple would be starting the trend for intimate weddings?
Jan 1, 2020, not even a blizzard could stop these two from beginning the new year as husband and wife! Rick & Angie, along with their closest friends and family gathered for an intimate, destination wedding ceremony at the beautiful Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey, Michigan. With the gorgeous Christmas decorations scattered around the historic inn, and freshly fallen snow as a backdrop, they committed to an earthly forever with each other. This will forever be etched in my memory as the perfect Hallmark location for any destination wedding or elopement, and I’m not so secretly hoping that I get another opportunity to photograph here again, because it was literal perfection.
Details were not overlooked! Don’t you love the bride’s color pop choice with her red Rothy’s shoes? The florals so delicately tied in the colors and holiday season, and the red berries were a fun little addition to style details with. And, what perfect addition to the reception other than a HOT COCOA BAR! Whipped cream, marshmallows, peppermint candy sticks, chocolate shavings, syrups, you name it–it was there, and it was delicious. 😉
After the ceremony, we took a [very] quick stroll around this quaint little town in the frigid temps, having them walk hand in hand and cozy up to each other, and of course, dancing in the park square with a classic Michigan snow backdrop. Sounds like the perfect ending to me, don’t you think?
